WHAT IS FITNESS


Fitness is often described as a rectangle, made up of four points which are physical,emotional,mental and biological fitness.
Physical fitness consist of two types.These are:
1. General Physical Fitness- which is a state of health and well-being of a person.
2. Specific Physical Fitness- which is task oriented, based on the ability
of the person to perform in specific aspects of sports or occupation.
Physical fitness is a measure of the body's ability to function efficiently and effectively in work and leisure activities. It is a reflection of how healthy the body is to resist hypo-kinetic diseases and to meet emergency situations.
Physical fitness generally consist of the following essentials:
1.Cardiovascular fitness
2.Flexibility fitness
3.Strength fitness
4.Muscular endurance
5.Body composition
6.General skill Training
Physical fitness can prevent or treat many chronic health conditions brought about by unhealthy lifestyle or poor aging process management.
